It's not the style I play myself but actually liked this..
It doesn't have to be virtuoso playing just as long as your timing is ok and the fun shines through.

I had no intention of sticking this on youtube because of all the mistakes. I had just got my new Galaxy Note..snuck off from work, fired up my peavey 2112 guitar amp and plugged in the bass. Played along and recorded it. mate saw it and said you ought to shove that up...people will appreciate all the cock ups! You can see I noodle in the middle after the main cock up as........enough of the excuses.....I can almost nail this properly.....................honest... ;)

My first ever ever 'solo' bass stuff (albeit one of them, on the jazz, ive been playing since i was 17) and its my first ever ever 'solo' bass recorded effort. I'm normally more 'Mr Band'

Not a classic gig, but the warm up sounded pretty good considering we were literally trying to warm up - it was 11pm in a 3 walled marquee and it was bloody cold!

There were people there, honestly - about 2 songs in they, surprise surprise stand in front of the camera and later on, surprise surprise, someone dunts the tripod and cuts off Kenny, the trombone player for about half the gig :rolleyes:

Video from last Friday's show...

The place was so packed that people were outside watching through the window!

We announced to the place that it was an 'open mic' and so the crowd of people in front of the stage basically passed a pair of mic's around and freestlyed. Thankfully we had some seriously local HipHip royalty in the house (Duke01, Jaws & Young Chris from Great Scott, Bru-C, MotorMouf… plus a dozen odd guys we had never met!). the songs were recorded about three years ago. finally did a promo vid last week. doh.

wish we could re-record the tracks now we're tighter (and i've improved x 10) and new tracks abound.

I think if you use the "share" link from youtube it'll just appear.

I've experienced that there are several methods:

One is the markup tag "media" before a link to a video and "/media" after it - both tags in square brackets.

Another method is a markup tag specially for YouTube, in which one doesn't need the whole link but just the YT code for that exact vid. Details escape me at the moment.

A third method is a copy and paste method that has given me unpredictable results.

A fourth method is to use "Share" functionality on the vid in question.


I'm sure others with more experience will step in and correct this.
