That could end up on the quote thread if left unedited!

Thanks Zombywoof. I hope that link was helpful.
I do have my own transcription of Tears, but I guess that'll be as much use as that link if you're not a big reader. Either way, good luck with it!

I've put a youtube site up now, but it's very early days, there's a few more solo performances going up in a bit, hopefully I can improve the recording quality in the near future.

Damn, that's funky.

Hey guy's,

Here is one that a fan of one of my bands(The Alter Boys) made and sent to us a while ago. It's on youtube so here is the link, oh yeah it's the cd's audio (and not much focus on the bass player lol) but I think the vid is pretty cool anyway.

Thanks for viewing!

Not in the same class as you lot, but this is me playing along to a Christian worship song. The guitarist in me gets a wee solo in!

Does anybody hear that choked sort of sound and if you do any ideas?? :)

One from the "acoustic" band I dep for on upright :)
Missing fiddle player for half of it means you can actually see my double chins
I think she'd nipped out for a P

And the promo one for my band. Actually caught me playing a Jazz and playing melodies up the dusty end...
The couple in the white shirt and green top always give me a giggle watching this, gawd knows what Craig Revel-Whorewood would make of that footwork ...

Nice groove on that, Bilbo ...

Well, just to add some balance to this thread full of awesome- ness, here we have the finale from my first ever gig. Many mistakes, much panic, terrible on- stage sound, a very odd playing position and a buzz that lasted for days :)

The second song, at about 5:20, is probably the better of the two..

Classic stuff. Was watching Censorship Stripper from The Tube the other day. Fantastic band, remember trying to emulate your basslines as a 14 year old and obviously failing miserably.

Ina recent string up and sticking to what i know best.....3 notes! Terrible mobile phone recording too and a 6 stringer type with rubber legs!

Here is a couple of me playing live. Sound quality is poor as it was recorded with a phone and i make plenty of mistakes. That was a lead guitarists first gig and the guy on rhythm is a stand in.

[/quote]Thanks Kev. I've got this on a Melody Maker freebie 7" somewhere.
Nice bit of communal herbage going on in the rythmn section.

- have to click the "watch in youtube" button, skip to about 1:40 - act is 'schwing'.

- this was the full piece just after we learnt it. there's a nice bass slide towards the end

and an oldie :) - me at 15, having a go at some funk. before i could read music / knew any music theory. doubt i could come up with something like that now to be honest

No, no, you've got that all wrong, Steve!

Mick was the only partaker of 'herbage' in the band. Rob and I are simply sharing a fag. Someone had to stay sober in that band and I'm afraid it was left to the boys in the rhythm section (as always).

Last time you'll play there, they have shut it down :)

We were actually booked to play there again, and headlining too, when the owners called it a day :)
It's a real shame - a really nice venue, with a really convenient car park next door!
To be fair though, the audience that night was pretty much just the other bands, can't see that they would have made a lot of cash.

There's mine. Not great recording unfortunately.
