Try opening the envelope a little more and a touch of slight detuning on one of the oscillators. (I'm assuming your using 2). The sounds a little harsh compared to the original track.

Thanks Jake. I'm running the Novation Bass Station VST. I actually did detune one of the oscillators a little, but maybe it needs a bit more.

You're totally right though, it'd be nice to have the real deal! One day, one day...

You've just reminded me that somewhere there is a video of me playing this exact song... nearly 20 years ago. :o
I attached a video camera (digital cameras were purely sci-fi back then) to the headstock and shot down the neck. I'll have to see if I can find it now. :D

I'll never forget that section that repeats over and over being a killer and the feeling of cramp setting in.

I came across this while looking for sounds on a Digitech BSW and your great synth version prompted me to put this up. Not me....just like that you can get a half decent sound out of a £50 pedal!

Yeah it's a killer alright! It would be cool to see your version- bit unwieldy having a video camera on the headstock I'd imagine, haha!
