Pleased with this. From a Kit Richardson gig in Hoxton a week ago. First vid with us all doing our recently implemented backing vox. Probably my last gig with the 1983 USA Jazz :( Kate, the violinist nearest Kit, broke her left wrist on the tube two hours before this vid, that's dedication!

Time to revive this thread perhaps? Other night I realised I had basically became worse at bass than I was 3 years ago (been playing 4 years) so deciding to learn songs that challenge me, starting with this one by Tesseract. Couldn't get the tone right :(

From a looong time ago, in pre hipshot & passive mode on the Wal (before it was upgraded to Custom electrics) but I bloody love the sound on this :) Also the crafty detune on the fly around 4 mins in - so much easier with the Hipshot but not a bad retune mid song even so

EDIT: Not sure why it's not showing in a play box now. I'm sure I used to just post the 'Watch' link & it worked in the past

Pherrel Williams - Happy - Bass Improvisation:

Quite nervous about posting vids

This is a shoddy rendition that was done completely on the fly. Full of mistakes and I think you can hear how ideas develop within the improvisation.

Best listened to on headphones and or speakers as the sound quality is shocking..

And the dogs wanted a piece of the action too...

Hope it's okay :)

I've got about 70 songs up now. Thought it might be useful as a portfolio if I wanted to join a band but it's good to learn the songs, record them and move on. Also to look back and check improvement over the two years I've been playing :-) I'm on the tube as UKFlamesey

Not the most exciting song in the world for bass, but the only one the drummer's put up so far :-p

A video clip from our festival appearance at Bestival 2013. You probably recognise the song. :-)

I'm a sucker for anything with live brass, but thanks, I really enjoyed that!
