The bass suggestively presenting itself in the background is almost identical to the one I’m playing, just with different wiring (Vol-Vol-Tone plus frequency switches for mids and highs, and series mode push/pull on the second volume - whereas the one I’m playing is Vol-Blend-Tone without any fancy switching) and I’m playing flats on the gold one but the Background Burgundy Beauty is strung with steel rounds. Edit: and of course I’m playing on the neck pickup! Edited November 1, 2021 by CameronJ 1 Quote
Jay2U Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 From Static Age. I tried to overplay the rather sloppily played and recorded bass track. 😬 1 Quote
lozkerr Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 From last Saturday. Depressing lyrics, but I love this song. Love Will Tear Us Apart LQ.mp4 3 Quote
SaimoN Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 System of a Down - Toxicity bass cover, from their 2001 Toxicity album. SOAD had another big influence on me way back in the past. Crazy riffs combined with tight rhythm section & great vocals! This is the title track from their LP. I re-arranged Shavo Odadjian's bassline to put some brbr deng stuff here & there. Really enjoyed recording this song;] Quote

Jay2U Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Lately I discovered the German band Nitrogods. Here's Black Car Driving Man. 2 Quote
SaimoN Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 System of a Down - ATWA fretless bass cover, from their 2001 Toxicity album. One of more calm SOAD's song. Nice melodic guitar riffs go alongside great powerful vocals in this one. I played Shavo Odadjian's on a fretless bass - covered some guitar parts & added some notes to the bass part as well. Quote

Jay2U Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Being loud again, covering a song I've known for 40 years. We'll Bring the House Down, composed by Slade, now covered by Nitrogods and me. 😁 1 Quote
SaimoN Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 System of a Down - Aerials (bass arrangement | instrumental cover) Bass, guitar, vocal - all rearranged on a bass guitar. Check it out! 2 Quote
theyellowcar Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Here’s my latest. A cover of one of my favourite tracks by The Wonder Years where I do everything but the drums. Quote
Duarte Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 A bit of fun on the Greco P bass. This thing absolutely slaps. 2 Quote

mrtcat Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 (edited) From Saturday night. Standard wedding guff but my mate Steely was depping on drums. So much better and far less arrogant than our regular guy lol. Edited November 29, 2021 by mrtcat 4 1 Quote
SaimoN Posted December 3, 2021 Posted December 3, 2021 Mudvayne - -1 (Negative One) bass cover, from the 2000 LD50 album. Kinda groovy, slow, melodic song. Not much going on here, although another cool bassline by Ryknow. Glad to learn & play this track. Quote
