Dubs
Continuing on from another thread where a few of us have been discussing who played bass on Jamiroquai's album recording of Space Cowboy, who is "Mr. X"? For those that aren't familiar with what I'm talking about, Stuart Zender was the original bass player in Jamiroquai and he played on the first 3 Jamiroquai albums, but "Mr. X" was credited with playing bass on the song Space Cowboy on the 1996 album The Return Of The Space Cowboy. Does anyone know who "Mr. X" is? Edited September 28, 2009 by benwhiteuk
Doddy
The rumours are that 'Mr.X' is Dutch Bassist Joeri Hommerson. Andrew Levy and Randy Hope Taylor have been mentioned but those rumours have been denied. Whoever played on the album version of 'Space Cowboy' did a better job than Zender did on the single. 4000
I heard it was Lemmy.
I wish it had been. As I just posted in the other thread, I detest the album version; I did even before I found out it wasn't Stu. That bassline is the only thing that mars an otherwise fabulous record. JTUK
probably a signed artist so he couldn't be credited for some reason
