pal1972 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 just got hold of this from BC's chrisgriffiths - cheers BTW! Used it for first time on saturday at rehersal and......WOW!! I am VERY impressed! bought it to replace the markbass 2x10 as i wanted just a bit more bottom end. I had to completely alter my amp settings and reduce the volume on it as it was way louder than i thought it was gonna be. I can't wait to use it in a gig situation (was supposed to saturday night but we got double booked!) This one will definately be a keeper!!! Quote

Once you get it at gig levels try and get out front. I find the tone is a lot smoother out in the audience as the mids drop off a bit allowing the lows a bit more room and its surprising how low it can sound. No match for most bigger cabs but i find mine has enough lows to handle my low B without it sounding muddy. Two sounds for the price of one. Quote
thisnameistaken Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I use mine in a ska/rocksteady band and nobody seems to miss the low-end rumble at all, I'm always getting compliments on how good the bass sounds. It was also funny the time my guitarist decided to help me load in, went to lift the Schroeder with a mighty tug and nearly hit himself in the face with it. Quote
jakenewmanbass Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 WOW indeed. I love mine, it's the best cab I've ever had. People say they are loud, I feel rather that they are 'audible' you could argue it's the same thing, but because the sound is in no way obtrusive or dominant loud seems like a negative term. Another huge plus for me is that it's amazing for both Double and Electric Quote
pal1972 Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 got a triple of gigs next weeken fri/sat/sun and really lookin' forward to playing it live now!!!! Quote
pal1972 Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 First proper gig with this tonight and OMG!!!! i had to turn my amp down!!! this thing outs out amazing volume and very clear! the guitarist complained that he was maxed out on his amp and struggled to hear!!!!! VERY IMPRESSED with this much nicer sounding than my MB 2x10 cab. Quote
bassace Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I'm a complete arse. Jakesbass had one at the Bash yesterday and in all the general kerfuffle I never got to try it. Next time perhaps? Quote
