stingrayfan
Been listening to The Beatles - Rubber Soul after stumbling upon it again. Had forgotten how good some of the basslines are on that - esp Drive My Car, The Word and You Won't See Me. Macca was on fire on some of the tracks on that album..worth digging out if you haven't listened to it for a while.
yorks5stringer
One of the first 'LP's' I bought in the 60's, mono to boot. Trouble with mono was you couldn't really hear the basslines on my old Dansette!
RhysP
The fuzz bass part on "Think for yourself" was one of the first things I ever learnt. I'm not a big fan of the Beatles, but "Rubber Soul" is a great album.
rasher80
I was always indifferent to the beatles when i was younger, i preferred other 60s bands like The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces, etc. Then i got into them in my early 20s when a housemate left a copy of Sgt Peppers lying around - i've been hooked ever since. And +1, there are some great Macca moments on Rubber Soul
JPS
Always preferred it to Sgt Peppers. Great songs and great bass playing. I especially like some of the less well known tunes e.g. You Won't See Me.
steve-soar
I'm a total disciple I'm afraid. Rubber Soul, Revolver, Pepper, The White, Abbey Road and most of Let it Be have some of the most righteous basslines EVER recorded. I bought Abbey Road remastered last week, the basslines on that album are incredible, on Something, oh dear, totally beautiful. Macca = Legend. Macca=legend=definitely .... and I always think the Something bass line owes something (no pun intended) to Jamerson.

craigjf1969
+1000...the beatles and especially macca were the sole reason that made me pick up a guitar
acidbass
I always get shivers down my spine when I hear that opening guitar riff, chiming on the George's 12 string. Amazing album and band, easily rates among my top three favourite Beatles albums (alongside Revolver and Beatles For Sale)
