mikegatward
ARIA PRO II MAGNA SERIES 5 STRING BASS. Excellent condition. Plus gig bag. - looking for around £120 Early 1997 vintage from the serial number and with hardly a mark on it, it looks almost new and can be described as mint for the age. 2 volume/blend controls and one tone control. Front pickup is a P-Bass style and the rear is a J-Bass style, which give the best of both worlds with a fat bottom end to a crisp top end with all the expected versatility of both. Very light, so no need for scaffolding to support it as is common to many 5 string basses, approximately 8lbs (3.5kg) 22 fret neck. Width of neck at nut a mere 46mm, width at 12th fret 62mm, so it's extremely narrow, not much more than a lot of 4 string basses. C shaped neck, satin finish with a lovely smooth finish through use. Machine heads still nice and accurate, strings stay in tune, even when used hard. Neck and fingerboard are still true with no twisting or warpage. Set up with a low action and no fret buzz at all. Reason for sale.....................this was my first go at a 5 string bass and I just haven't taken to 5 strings ! - will stick to 4. Dread Bass
I have a four string one of these in black and it has one of my favourite necks of any bass.
Gust0o
I had the four-string of this... ooh... about the same time, I suspect, if not a little earlier. The lightness is not understated. The four was feather-light. Neck was fast, and the range of sound great for a bargain.
