bubinga5
Just wanted to share this....my number 1 of all bass player's Randy 'Hope' Taylor with Jeff......check Randy at 1.55 onwards... for me this guy has the most amazing sense of melodic bass playing with his fretted or fretless with incognito, but hes got serious groove.. these two tunes tell it all i think.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1Mdl-bqGIo i have never heard bass playing that ive listened to over and over again like this!! the solo is not known, like lots of Randy's playing..he really is the best most musical bassist ive ever come across...a true magician on the bass..his dynamic playing is in full force in this solo...ive never heard fretless sound so good.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlpVdMRkfhI love Jeff Beck too..his playing is very special.. Rayman
Yeah funky baby...love that bass too, what is it ESP? That's my favourite colour, I loved my Lake Placid Blue Lakland DJ4. I can only dream of playing a fraction as well as that, I wish I could groove like that I really do, that's awesome playing.

Bass_In_Yer_Face
I've never seen this guy before......he's good. I hate people that make it look this easy
Faithless
The start was nice, but, all in all, it left me cold, got to admit.. I've enjoyed him 10 times more, when he played with Incognito.. Maybe it's just me, eh
RhysP
I saw Jeff Beck with that band in Munich in 1997 & I have to be honest the bass playing made no impression on me whatsoever. Maybe I would have noticed it more if I hadn't been so totally blown away by Jeff.
kets
Very cool, but I have to agree that he's still in Jeff's shadow here. I don't think anybody could outdo Jeff on his own gig! Even the amazing Jennifer Batten is relegated to sideman(woman?) Jeff builds hotrods as well. What an amazing guy! I do love Randy's playing with Incognito though... bubinga5
..im not suggesting Randy is better or worse than Jeff Beck..Jeff wasnt really the subject... i guess the bass playing is never the subject at a Jeff Beck concert...prob wrong clip of Randy to post
Jobiebass
I always wondered who he was. His Flea bass with his cool little logo on the 12th fret was on sale on here not long back.
Pete Academy
I'm a big RHT fan and I love his playing on the Incognito albums (have them all). However, I don't think this is amazing. I actually prefer Tal Wilkenfeld with Beck. The solo is very good but a bit too 'Marcus' at times, especially the slap part. Sorry Bubinga...close but no cigar. BTW, I think it's Julian Crampton on 'Everyday' - amazing track!

Rich
For some blinding RH-T Incognito work, have a listen to 'Roots (Back To A Way Of Life)' from the '100° And Rising' album. Funkier than a very funky thing. Sorry, thang.
Pete Academy
I think he took over from RHT as Incognito's bassist on the albums and live gigs. Monster player.
Faithless
Could anyone recommend a few must-have Incognito's albums?
