rapscallion
I'm planning on switching my defretted Cort neck for an ebay fretted jobby, but, how can i measure the neck pocket to see if they will fit together properly? Cheers
Buzz
How would you normally measure something? Think. Think a bit harder. There you go.
rapscallion
Understandable, however, I've taken guitars appart and a Squire neck will not fit in a Yamaha body because the end bit(heel?) is a different shape.
GreeneKing
I think you'll find that the vast majority of the necks on eBay, unless stated, will be for a Fender fit. You'll be lucky to find one that'll function well with the Cort I'd guess, at least not without some woodwork. If you want a fretted Cort maybe best to sell yours and buy another. Bassassin
It's unlikely that they'll be a perfect fit, but the great thing about wood is the way you can file bits off & stick other bits on & make things fit. Make sure the scale is the same or you'll end up having to reposition your bridge too. Jon.
skankdelvar
Is the neck a snug fit in the pocket? If so, take the neck off. Lay it upside down. Measure the heel itself, rather than the pocket.

mrcrow
just be prepared for a not so good fit...but really if the bolts hold it what is the diff you may have to do some wood cutting as well my P/J wasnt a terrifically good fit...but i do not believe that any tightness would have made any real difference to my sound via my combo
