Does the Tech 21 VT Bass need a DI?

I've got the Tech 21 VT Bass for recording directly into a USB audio interface but was wondering if the sound would be improved if I put a DI box after it? Does anyone use it in this fashion

The VT's output is buffered, so it should work well into your audio inferface's line in or instrument in.

The output isn't balanced, so it won't work well into a mic input, and a long lead may pick up noise. A DI box would get around these problems.

But I don't think a DI box will make much difference to sound quality, over using a short lead into the line in.

Thanks for that - yeah it totally kicks arse, blows my old Sansamp BDDI away for recording purposes with ease!
