Pbassman
Last night I went to see Walter Trout in Cardiff. It was an excellent show as WT is a quality guitarist. What made it for me, but then I am biased of course, was the really tight rhythm section of Michael Leasure and Rick Knapp. There was nothing really fancy on the bass lines - just quality timing, phrasing and a lovely tone from his Lakland and Mesa amp. It is great to see someone playing just 4 strings! (Never felt the need for more but I'm old-fashioned). After the concert, as we left the Globe, I managed to have a chat to Rick and I am really pleased to say what a nice guy he is. A great night. Sadly I couldn't go to the concert So, Newbie in SE Wales, Can we tempt you to the SE Wales bass bash (see link below) or to support the Globe in their fight to stay open? Read all about it here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=612158 Thanks OldGit
Musky
I've got to admit I hadn't heard of Rick Knapp. I thought the thread was going to be about a stolen Rickenbacker.
