OldGit Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 There's two jam sessions I know of, one a half brick's throw from the Globe at the Claude on Albany Road, the other at the Canadian in Splott. Might get to the latter one later on. You'd get a go at the Canadian, probably not at The Claude... Quote

Pbassman Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Don't knock the Claude - my band went there in August (more opportunity as the students have gone home) and we played 3 songs and were well received by the regular players as well as the punters. They have a good PA and ams for 2 guitars and bass. With the future of the Globe in the air we can't knock any venue. Cheers Phil Quote

Cheers Phil[/quote] Ok .... but getting a go as a lonewolf bass player is neigh on impossible cos Jim the Jam Master books in whole bands doing 3 songs each auditioning to be his house band .... That's not really a jam session or open mic.. Mind you it means more interesting stuff gets played Circumstances have changed and I'll be gracing the Canadian with my presence tonight.
