Love him or loathe him he's got it sorted.

Design something, copyright it and have it made by a high quality manufacturer to a high standard. Add some desirable extras (custom case.... meeting him.... photo.... signed/numbered... etc) and then sell it to your target market at an inflated price, keeping most of the profits.

I have one of these from about 10 years ago when they were being made for him by Fernandes. Great bass.....

In fairness, this can't really be something that's targeted at the typical bass playing market can it?
I mean five grand for a Cort!?

And as far as investment value is concerned; there are plenty of other better quality vintage guitars & basses around at the moment at good prices that will have a higher appreciation.

Good luck to him, if someone's daft enough to pay that sort of money for what basically seems a pretty average weird shaped bass....

i think they look great, i used to keep rewinding and watching his bass solo on the animalize tour video when he used his axe bass it was cool, i wonder if his bus is going to Bolton
