I have decided that I do not really use my Peavey Cirrus custom 5 enough to justify keeping it any more. People familiar with the model will probably agree with me that the Cirrus is one of, if not the, best looking basses ever made. I bought this from a guy in America about 2 years ago. I saw a review in Bassist about 15/20 years ago and it had been love at first sight. It had my ambition for 20 years or so to get one and I finally had the money.

It is a five stringer, Wenge construction and looks absolutely gorgeous. It has a 35 inch straight through neck which stops the 5th string buzz very effectively with excellent sustain and an active 3 band EQ running on 18Volts. Being a proper custom model it is USA made and should not be confused with the BXP series.

It plays and sounds like a dream through my Ashdown combo and even bettrr through a tube amp if you have one. The range of tones available is phenomenal but it also has its own voice which, I must admit, I tend to use most.

It comes with its own Peavey case.

I'm looking for offers over £650 plus P+P.

what's up with the headstock? it looks like there's a big crack on it by the G string tuner?

By the way, this link I got from TB a few months ago in on a thread there about the Cirrus.

They sound pretty tasty to me :)

Looks like plastic that's been peeled back a bit?

No its a scratch, an old one, looks like the previous owner was a bit careless changing strings.

I would'nt say that, but I'm not currently in a band, and I do have 3 other basses plus 8 guitars!!

Well, its not new and has been well played plus that's what I got it for. Also don't want to exploit other bassists. Interested?

No. The plastics fine except for a scratch by the B string tuner. Must be the light on the picture.

They would be new ones presumably.
