Trying to find a pic of a bass - that was in American Basses book...

In the excellent book "American Basses" there is a weird thing built for Victor Wooten

It is 4 string at the head, then the fretboard steps out for 5 and 6 strings as you get closer to the body - the extra strings tuning from the bridge.

If the book is close to anyone - can you tell me who made it please!

That would be the Jack Read Step-Neck bass I believe! Dont really fancy trying to play one..................
