Rob Kittler
Have been scouting around the internet for weeks looking at different guitars and packages. Take a look at this from Thomman - Streamer (passive) for £162.89, postage is £10.00 - could be a nice entry level little unit! yorick
Very good value for the money. I've got one that i added an MEC active circuit and it's great for rock/metal. If you can get on with a slim jazz type neck, it'll be well worth it. Mine's a few years old now, and the polyester finish has handled the dings well. Fraktal
You wont believe how good is its tone. Those MEC pickups have a retail price of 179€ EACH! Mine is a 5 strings righthanded model and it is not only my personal favourite, but also prefered by a very famous studio engineer friend of mine and several bassists I have met in the road. Mind you, we bought one of those as soon as they were released into the market, like 8 years ago, so no clue if the quality control has suffered through the years. Really hard to believe that such a cheap bass sounds so good, but I believe in miracles since I got one.
Brave Sir Robin
Looks like they are clearing up their inventory for the new range. The new Rockbass are pretty sweet. Warwick two piece bridge, and no cheesy headstock. this looks good too.
