Lfalex v1.1
Now we may all be bassists together, but every so often I hear a bit of drumming that's so "on the button" that I can't help but go "WOW!" Here's a few from today's listening; The Flesh is Weak (Judy Tzuke) Going Back to My Roots (Odyssey) - Which in its unabridged form also contains a gorgeously squishy wah-infested w**k-free guitar solo Raining Blood (Slayer) - Yes, really. Dave Lombardo somehow imbues some sections with a degree of swing against the will of his bandmates!
V4lve
Just been watching some video of Will Calhoun (Living Colour). He's pretty cool.

Doddy
That video of Brain proves that a good player will still sound good on crappy gear :brow: As far as wicked drumming...Steve Gadd is the Ultimate. Dave Weckl keeps getting better. JoJo Mayer is killing it. Gene Krupa is still brilliant,as is Buddy Rich. I could go on....................... RhysP
Bill Bruford. Danny Carey. Gavin Harrison. Simon Phillips. Jeff Pocaro. David Francolini. And a thousand others. I love listening to great drummers - I'd far rather hear a drum solo than a bass solo.

Spoombung
Funny. I favourite a lot of drummers on Youtube... but don't particularly like playing with them. They make too much noise.
Zombywoof
Ralph Humphrey who played with Frank Zappa is a quality drummer. I also like the way this guy grooves. Keeps it really nice and simple.
