Nobody ever takes advantage of it, but it was there last time I looked. Your dealer should be able to swap it for you.

Bassmingo
I might be interested, i've got a set of pickups from a 75RI for a project and was planning to ditch the bridge one for a MM style. i'm planning a geddy style with a "modern" sound, but i'm not familiar with the quarter pound....whats it like? interested in a trade for a neck 75? Leftbass
Excuse my ignorance what is 75RI. The SD quarter pounder has large pole pieces and a really beefy output and I 'm sure you would get a great rasping Geddy like tone if you set your eq up. This is a neck pos PU I need something more like the vintage I have in the bridge pos. on my jazz Edited October 23, 2009 by Leftbass
Bassmingo
75 ri is a 75 jazz re issue. I bought the pups for my project but so far have not used them, so i dont know what they're like. I'm not after a geddy tone per re, more like a modern sounding classic looking bass

WonderHorse
Is there a huge difference of tone between this Seymour Duncan and the standard Jazz pups? I might be interested.
fretmeister
I can't comment on the jazz - but I use the Quarter Pounfer P-bass pup and it is excellent. Thick and meaty, yet reacts well to volume and tone changes.
Leftbass
its loads better than the stock PU in the MIM jazz which is what I replaced
