urbanx Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I obviously love it, probably too much, phworr!! Quote
EBS_freak Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Dont know about the bass... but love the photography work! Quote
Stylon Pilson Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) I've never seen a grey headstock on a red bass before. Most novel. S.P. Edited October 20, 2009 by Stylon Pilson Quote
buff Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) I'd love it more in white, opinions still divided on it though. Whats your opinion on it compaired to a jazz bass ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXWMkRcqlO4 Sounding good here though Edited October 20, 2009 by buff Quote
Cat Burrito Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I bought the same bass this week & love it. Loads of tone & feels like a tricked out jazz Quote
waynepunkdude Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Looks awesome, I need to try one of these out. Aren't they 30" ? Quote
Raggy Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 A mate just bought one of these, I was really impressed. Quote

steve-soar Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I've been gas free for ages and now.... I need a white one, a la Barry. Trouble is, I don't think they do a lefty in white, red will do though. Quote
EBS_freak Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Just come back to this... and I think I'm coming round to it. In fact... yeah, I'd get one of these Quote
buff Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Was chatting to a bass player friend on friday night at a gig about the jag. He had one but couldnt get on with it, although he says on hindsight he didnt give it a real go. He thought his was short scale. Quote
Greene-Mann Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I think they look great! Theyre like a super cool looking Jazz with a 2band EQ (not saying Jazz's arent cool looking enough to begin with) Although i would love to mod one to have a pair of Jazz-Humbuckers (like rio-grande powerbuckers or something) Change the pickup on/off switches to Single/Humbucking Switches for each pickup and possibly change the third for a Midrand Boost switch or something. EBS_freak Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Still love the photography by the way! Quote

urbanx Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Aww Cheers, I'm a bit of an amature photographer. Yeah Part of me thought of getting the Wesley replica for £100 and spending a couple of hundred pimping it, but the Jags are too nice! Action is just perfect! Quote
gilmour Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I really like these Basses, think they play and sound great. The only reason I didn't buy one was because I couldn't get out with the layout of the controls, and every now and then I'd knock the ones above the neck, but that's my cack handed technique more than anything! Great photos also BTW Quote

Went to a new home, the guy loved it to bits!! Horses for courses Flat Eric Quote
steve Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I've always liked them, thay have a nice retro vibe going on, I'm not sure about the grey headstock tho - I think I need to see the whole bass in one pic to see how it all fits together Quote

Take another look at the photo. Notice any colour in it? Also note self-appraisal as 'amateur photographer' - i.e. have to chuck in the odd B&W photo! Nice lighting and set-up by the way. Quote

urbanx Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Yeah had to throw a B&W one in! Was lit naturally next to a window, on a black cloth. The headstock is the same colour as the body, phworr! One of my mates refuses to look at it, he says it makes him feel sea sick Quote
Clarky Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Looks fab! Here's Barry Adamson looking cool as f*** with an Olympic white one Quote
