lee4 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Lets cut to the chase;I want one.In white. Please buy my kidneys,or will px an elderly relative.PM me please(or if you live in Surrey,PM with address, times you are out, alarm code etc). Quote
Cat Burrito Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I bought red purely because of the matching headstock. White was the second choice for me and had it had a matching headstock I'd have gone for that instead. Quote
urbanx Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 'tis red Not sure why Fender didn't colour-code the Olympic White? Quote
Golchen Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 +1 on the great pix. What camera? I used to really dislike that sort of retro, but since I have gone all 'jazz bass' in the past year I can appreciate a bass like that. Couldn't be doing with all those switches myself though. Quote
Gust0o Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Can we now start an appeal for an official Fender offering with a grey headstock? Smoking, absolutely smoking - I do love the Jags. Quote
urbanx Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Gotta love body coloured headstocks! If only Fender would pull their finger out and make a Jagstang Bass. Someone even photoshopped one up once as an April fool! Golchen - Cheers! I use a Canon 350D with a 24-85mm IS USM lens Quote
basshead56 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) These basses look amazing. Tried one when I was in Manchester earlier this year, just didnt get enough time to fiddle with it/figure out ´Mission Control´-style electronics! Nonetheless... Right to the top of my GAS list!!! Hot Rod Red of course! And here I was thinking a cherryburst 78 ´Prescription´ was the cure! Edited October 29, 2009 by basshead56 Quote
munkonthehill Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 i love my jag, but as you can see from my pic <-------------- I have the black number. IMO the best looking of them all. amazing basses and amazing feel and tone, they tick all the boxes for me. Quote
shug Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010
I obviously love it, probably too much, phworr!!
Absolutely the coolest bass in Fenders current range though only with the matching headstock Quote
mgibson Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) for me the matching head stock DOSE NOT WORK... i have one of these olyimpic white, the best possible finish for the bass obiously without matching... Edited February 13, 2010 by mgibson Quote
nash Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 i'd love a white one with matching headstock Quote
discreet Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Like it! Looks a bit too complicated for me, though Quote
tarcher Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010
I bought the same bass this week & love it. Loads of tone & feels like a tricked out jazz
What are you like Tim? With all that gear you've got, where do you keep the wife? Quote
urbanx Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 (edited)
i'd love a white one with matching headstock
Get the Tippex out!!! They are a bit complicated. I spent a day fiddling with it, and have just left it. Bugger playing with the settings between songs! I'm obviously in love with the red, but our guitarist has just got a Mustang in Daphne Blue which is gawjus! Monk: Have you ever been curious what yours would look like with a BLACK scratchplate?
