I had one. Good quality made in the US not China. Wide range of tone available and loads of power. Built to last. Classic Peavey. I still look at them when they pop up on Ebay and think why did I sell mine. GAS I suspect

The bassist in my band uses one. Solid, lots of tone shaping options, good power to money ratio :) Weighs more than my all valve marshall head though! Must be lead lined...

They run for a surprisingly long time on a 0.5 ohm load, before they trip. Ig you disconnect the trip and bridge it, it runs for a surprisingly long time before the power transformer melts. They are built tough.

how does that work then? i have a 4x10 and 1x15 both rated at 8ohms so that should put it down to 4 ohs on the amp, correct?

Amp is happy to 2ohm (at least the one I'm tinkering with is) so you can run 4 x 8ohm cabs off it.

the Sessionbass amp was my first proper amp, and i loved it. Eq on it was really easy to dial in i remember. i remember i thought i had made it as a proper bassist when i bought my first rig, it was that and a 1 x 15" black widow cab. I was the muts nuts! haha.

Good times. :)

Was handed a trashed one to try and fix. They are no longer supported it seems, can't get a new transformer. When I phoned the dude who owns it, he ca';t talk long because he is busy conducting his orchestra. Some people are far from up on the technical side of things.
