burno70
when you can use your amp or bass EQ's? Just wondering, thanks.
waynepunkdude
So you can change mid song.
GreeneKing
It can be useful. Passive P bass, MXR 80, one stomp to add some mids, 2nd to add some distortion etc. Although I except that the MXR is more than just EQ. On the Status last night the boost/flat/cut mid switch was doing a great job in that respect too.
cheddatom
well I always have one EQ pedal to boost mids and overdrive dirt pedals, then I have another to boost the low end. Neither of these functions would work on my amps EQ, and I would switch both several times during each song.
Silent Fly
On top of my mind I can think to a few cases: - Change EQ between fingerstyle and slap. - Tone control of the amp doesn't have the cut off frequencies that I like/need - Portable EQ solution - Change tone and volume between basses (e.g. active/passive, fretted/fretless) - Buffer for connection to a recording device - Booster to saturate an amp or an overdrive - Post/post-distortion equalization - ... burno70
Hey thanks for the quick and helpful replies. I hadn't considered changing the EQ on the fly or boosting the mids to overdrive dirt pedals. Cheers!
E sharp
You'd wonder why no-one yet has (to my knowledge) , produced one just for slap . By that I mean a dedicated pedal , with a graphic plus either compressor or limiter . One pedal , one board space , job done .
