Moos3h Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) Hi all, Just recently bought this but as I have small hands I am finding the neck a bit of a struggle, being used to the slim Jazz necks. Looking to get back what I paid for it, £250 (now dropped to £225) but can include a hard case which fits it well for £35 on top, otherwise it will be well packed in a suitable box. Postage would be around £15-20 inclusive of the hard case and appropriate insurance. Cheers, James Edited October 30, 2009 by Moos3h
Moos3h Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 Had it about a month now MB1 and although it sounds great, i'm not gelling with it as I hoped If I had limitless funds, it'd be worth keeping, but as is I'd rather get something that will get more play-time. Cheers, James
AttitudeCastle Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 shame, i have no bass to offer or money, your finding the neck big? odd no offence, i just love huge necks, the P bass is too skinny in my opinion, and jazz bass necks just feel odd to me, the geddy lee however feels ace anyway Have a bump for free
MB1 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 MB1. ...Minty Fresh!...and Mustard this!...Great Bass!...Great Price! .....Trust Me!...It's Free Fitting! BUMP!

Moos3h Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 This is currently on hold pending arrangements for a sale Will update the thread asap once I've more info
Moos3h Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 Bass is for sale once more after buyer failed to show for an agreed meetup. One wasted lunch break and a £20 parking ticket later and the bass goes back up for sale or P/X with cash my way.
Bigwan Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 These basses are mega. If I didn't already have a Bongo I'd have one of these in a flash!
Moos3h Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 Thanks mate, bit of luck it'll find a good home
Moos3h Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Bumps, up side your head, say BUMPs upside yo' head....
Wil Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 How does this compare soundwise to a Stingray? Does it have that low mid thump played fingerstyle/with a pick that sits in a mix?
Moos3h Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 I'd say (and of course these things are very subjective) that it's very close to the Stingray sound which I define as very 'Hi Fi' sounding. A dark and woody P-Bass this is not, although you could EQ it to get close to that. It's all about the low-mids, except that on these (and Stringrays), it is accompanied by a high end 'zing' which helps cut no end. Cheers, James
Wil Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Oh god. I really dont need a bass, but I do want it. Gwah. Take paypal?
Moos3h Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 As long as it's Gifted so I don't get reamed for the fees then yeah, sure!
