thisnameistaken
Groove Collective's first album was really good but after that I thought they got really generic. A bit 'Incognito' (I know there are a lot of Incognito fans here, sorry). I saw them in New York back in the '90s and tbh wasn't impressed. They were very tight and all but they seemed to have no energy, like they didn't even know eachother.

I stopped listening then so I can't comment on their later records, but they were going the way of Brand New Heavies I thought - from an interesting little funk outfit to a band that wanted mainstream success. I believe he used a BB3000s at one point, not sure if that's whats on the vid or not.
