The Funk Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 This blew my mind when I first heard/saw this on a VH1 rockumentary when I was about 14, so much so that I took up bass. I thought I should share it with anyone who hasn't already seen it and people who'd love to watch it over and over again. Cream, playing I'm So Glad, live at their farewell concert at The Royal Albert Hall in 1968. Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker - best trio this country has ever produced. Quote

EssentialTension Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 How about this one: Baker really impresses, great solo from Clapton at 4.16, and Bruce's singing - wow! - as well as top bass. Quote
trent900 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Thanks for these! I loathe and abhor 99.9% of sixties music (I was born in the heathen times - 1984 - what do you expect?) but I had no idea Jack Bruce was even half that good a singer. Astonishing. Every day is a school day. Cheers! Jon Quote
acidbass Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I absolutely love Cream! Totally agree with the OP - best trio ever to my mind. Quote
