woodenshirt
What are your thoughts on instruments that have had headstock/neck repairs.... I always walk away when I see such repairs (yes, I know some repairs are very good...... but it just puts me off when I see them!) Do you think I am being sensible by not considering these instruments or am I missing out on some great purchases? Mart.

I repaired my first headstock break on a nylon acoustic, I told the customer that the join was stronger than the wood around it - a month later someone stood on it breaking the neck again, but the glued part held firm whether it will affect the sound of the instrument is another matter, though I don't personally know of anyone ever having such a problem
