Cairobill
Just got my dream 1978 Fender Precision so I have to show it
That's lovely - the Gallery had a 1976 (I think) in the same colour and board which was a wonderful bass. Someone bought it before I could... One day...
Spoombung
Now that's a clever idea, just a shame westone was a sh!te make from the 80's.
That's what I thought, but the Rail bass was pure class. I saw one for sale in Denmark street a few years ago and wish I'd bought it.
budget bassist
even if i'm a bit late, in reply to the OP, i'm not a fan of relics either, but i've seen a couple of those roadworn basses/guitars in a local guitar shop and they do look rather tastefully done. I may try one out at some point if i can get over the F word on the headstock

I actually NEED one, can you believe that? They aren't expensive but I can not find one for sale anywhere.
Christ in a f***ing parambulator, I've got one, in white!!!!!!! I picked it up tonight from sixshooter, it is ACE!!! Steve is a diamond to deal with. I played his 59 Precision, if you've ever wanted a living, breathing amazing Fender, you've found one, it is stunning and he is selling it! He's a lovely bloke and you'll have no issues doing business with him. I played one of his amazing Strats too, it is by far the nicest Strat I have played. Steve knows what he's talking about, his knowledge put me to shame. Cheers Steve Edited December 8, 2009 by silddx

Jarhead
Mmm, nice. Probably my favourite looking 6'er. Just plain awesome, hopefully getting this for my GCSE results, if those are any good Just looks and sounds great. Classic bit of P Bass-ery there, but imagine it with a black pickguard instead. One of my all time favourites, my dream bass lol. Zach

Pete1967
I'm probably voicing the same sentiments as others on this thread because I admit I'm too lazy to read it all, but truly, my Shuker (soon to be the plural) is the best bass I've ever played - and that was one of Jon's stock instruments. He's building one to my spec now, so I'm wetting myself about that. However - in the past I have loved Warwick and Yamaha (still do) and I sorely miss my stolen Jaydee. :-(
