I'm just wondering if it's ok to use the effects return on my amp for a line in for a an ipod or mp3 player for home practise/jam alongs etc. Thanks in advance. Unless your head has the option of a series or parallel effect loop, where it all falls down is that by plugging a jack into the effects return you will disconnect the bass so defeating the object of what you are trying to achieve. I do something similar with bass head, which has an excellent headphone output, and a small outboard mono mixer. Effect send into the mixer. PC stereo out via mix-down cable to the mixer. KennysFord Posted October 25, 2009 Author Share Posted October 25, 2009 Thanks obbm, I have a yamaha bbt500h head and the headphone out is quite good.I also have a wee behringer mixer but i did'nt think of going that route so cheers for that.I'll give that a try and see how we go.
