warwickhunt Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009 I'm not going to be a huge help as I don't know the model numbers but that sounds like the SD pups that Warwick installed as an option in their SSI basses back in the late 80's (or was it into the 90's ). IIRC the little rocker switches changed the frequency response... as much as I can add at this point! With regard to are they any good; they were stock SD pups so if you liked the tone of SD then yes they were good but at the time they were up against a lot of stiff competition from EMG etc. They always intrigued me and if you'd had the matching Jazz pup I'd have made you an offer for them as I'd have been interested to hear what they sounded like compared to the MEC's in my SSI.
