fatgoogle
Hi I was wondering does anyone know of any sheet music books that have some good blues or jazz music music to them. You know the ones that sort of have those play along CD's. I have some for trumpet and their good i find. Maybe some of you who teach might know. My Granny asked me what i wanted for christmas, i though one of these might be good. Thanks Sam H
gnasher1993
Check out the Hal Leonard playalong series, or the Jamey Aebersold books. The backing tracks are really good quality. Send me a quick PM with your email address and I'll send you an example if you want.

Mykesbass
Hi Sam, Just found this via another thread: http://www.playjazznow.com/bassist.html Where the Abersold series fell down for me was that it was for lead instruments - this looks like it's going to break you in gently into the rhythm section. I'm definitely going to try some. Mike

You can transcribe lines if you want to. All good stuff.
