JimBobTTD Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) It's back up for sale. It will be going up on Ebay at some point soon, so get in there now! Original post (with new price put in and some other stuff taken out to avoid confusion) Hello With heavy heart, it's time to move this one on. This is a Warmoth creation which I made earlier this year [2009]. I spared no expense at all on it, and I am too ashamed to say just how much I put into this project. The basics: Warmoth Strat body, arctic white, rear routed, alder Warmoth Strat neck with '59 Roundback shape, maple with ebony 'board, 22 stainless steel jumbo frets, satin finish Original Floyd Rose, black EMG 81/85 with metal surrounds Volume and tone for each pickup (tones are on a concentric pot) 3-way switch Black hardware The upgrades: 18v EMG wiring Huge brass sustain block in FR trem ESP Arming Adjuster to stabilise the Floyd Rose The bad bits: Tiny ding on front, below trem Small chip in recessed cavity for the trem on the corner Guitar needs a good setup There is a high fret (not seated properly) around the 19th fret area which needs fixing The tone is, as expected, cutting and very, very much suited to metal. The neck is easy to play - not thin like standard shredmonsters, not huge either. Just perfect. Pic: As said above, I put a huge amount of money into this. The guitar is a dream to play, but it is surplus to requirements and is gathering dust. More pics Ding 1 of 2 Ding 2 of 2 That thing in the middle is the ESP Arming Adjuster [s]Price: £600 or offers[/s] SOLD ON EBAY Edited January 16, 2011 by JimBobTTD

cgordonfreeman Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 How about a Carvin LB75P in red with ebony fretboard?

Getting a recording interface soon so could get you soundclips. I think the body is mahogany. Maple neck through with a figured maple top that hides the neck through from the front. Ebony fretboard. Transparent red finish. Edited November 24, 2009 by cgordonfreeman
JimBobTTD Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 Oooh, that looks nice. I'll shift this over to PM, and send you one later on. I can't access Basschat at work and have band practice straight after work today, so it will be much later or perhaps even tomorrow evening. I'll be in touch!
JimBobTTD Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 Bump. Giving that Carvin some serious thought, but rather interested in a straight sale.
JimBobTTD Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Bump! Had some interest, but I don't know whether that interested party is still interested. I'm still open to the idea of a trade but really would prefer cash.
cgordonfreeman Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Still interested in this by the way Jim. Have a bump.
monquixote Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Can I interest you in a vintage Yamaha SG 1000?
JimBobTTD Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 Might be able to. Pics? Condition? Age?
monquixote Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010
Might be able to. Pics? Condition? Age?
Here are some pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26088903@N05/...57623371872468/ I believe it is a 1981 model. The top and neck and headstock are in good condition for a 30 year old guitar though it has some dings on the bottom edge as you can see in the photo. The brown stuff on the plastic is the original backing paper which can be removed if required. I'm off out now, but I'll add some more detail about the guitar tomorrow.
JimBobTTD Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Bump for an edit. I'm not all that interested in trades any more - I have all the basses I need with my Ibanezes and, to be brutally honest, I pretty much have more guitars than I need (but I'd still like a V). I'd much rather people sold their trading stock and bought my Warmoth for cash!
