For those of you who don't know Panic At The Disco, they're a young band that bought out a very intelligent pop album maybe 3 years ago. They unfortunately got labeled as an 'Emo' band (which they hate), and as such, got written off!
I think they're pretty good actually, and chose a great song to cover at abbey road :)

First is one of theirs, then 'The Weight'

Got to say they come across as a really nice bunch of guys. The cover is quite good but I've heard better versions in pubs. Perhaps others will disagree but just my view. Still, it must be awesome to play it in Abbey Road. Fair play to them

The guitarist and bassist have left now I think lol

I just think it's nice to hear a young band do it, and pull it off haha!. I've rarely heard it played in pubs, and when I have, it's been older guys :)

Yeah, it's nice, but as Burrito says.. it's a bit pubby.

There's a subtlety to that song that usually gets buried under thumping tubs...

I wish someone would cover a Band song that isn't The Weight or Dixie. :)

They came across really well I thought, definitely a decent job on the cover, not brilliant, but good I thought (esp vocal harmonies).

Good to see a band sticking two fingers up at a record company not wanting them to take an opportunity like this (assuming that wasn't all a set piece to camera, you never can tell)

Yeah stick it to the man! Great vid Si! I actually quite liked them when they first came out, very catchy with pretty cool lyrics. It's nice to see that they know the label are trying to push them into the commercial world but they're still trying to persue their own musicality.
