Pikefloyd
Stumbled on this, which is an interesting read if you're into GK gear http://www.instituteofbass.com/bass_gear/

steve-soar
What a brilliant interview. I never realised GK hade such a history. And what a great site too.
JD1
Has anyone seen or tried a Fusion 550?
The Funk
Very interesting article. I wonder who he was referring to when talking about his major competitor with the valve sound... Ampeg?

Pikefloyd
The Fusion 550 is very tempting! No idea of price yet though
Waldo
I'm suprised that no-one seems to have heard about the fusion 550, it was announced probably about 2 years ago? It looks amazing, but I've lost respect for GK as they said it would be out last June and there still doesn't seem to be any sign of it coming out any time soon! It's stupid really as I'd put the money aside to buy it last year but since it never materialised, I went out and got something else. Same goes for the Neo 4x10's that they said would be coming out. Their loss really...
JD1
Yeah - first saw it in Bass Player and was looking forward to trying one. They've been like hens teeth though. Maybe they've had teething problems? I asked Sounds Live and they said Beyer were quoting 6 - 8 weeks delivery.
G-bitch
Thanks for that - very interesting, and prompted me to think about getting a GK head as a polar opposite of my Ampeg V4!

For the price they are bloody good! tried out some other amps in the same price range and they didnt really compare to my ears.
Delberthot
I haven't been able to find any other tranny amp anywhere near as good as the GK stuff. I used an 800RB for years and then went off on an amp expedition only to come back to the 700RB II. the dogs danglies
Jack
Whilst I dont agree with some of the generalisations Bob stated, I really enjoyed reading that article. Of course, nowhere near as much as I enjoy my GK stuff!
