InTheGroove
I played one of these today and loves it, nice narrow neck and nice tone and feel to it, worth the £675, I think so but would like your opinions incase there is something I have overlooked. The one in the shop has marks on the head-stock where the wall fixing where the guitar was hanging on has had some chemical reaction with the laquer that the headstock is covered in, and has smeared it right down to the wood, on both sides. How much discount should I push for due to this? Its about 2cmx0.5 on each side Thanks
paul, the
Oh, I think I may prefer the look of that to the regular SUB. How does the neck compare to a Jazz? Edited October 5, 2007 by paul, the
rodl2005
As dlloyd says....thats a LOT for a 'shop-soiled' sub IMHO. I'd at least get 100 off for the damage. But as stated- I'd go 2nd hand if poss.
niceguyhomer
I'm with dlloyd on this - buy a used Sterling - I think there's two up for sale on here now and I would imagine the price would be in the same ball park.
Lfalex v1.1
I'm with dlloyd on this - buy a used Sterling - I think there's two up for sale on here now and I would imagine the price would be in the same ball park.
AND you get the coil switching, a "better" neck (well, unpanted...) and a better finish / wood (especially if you get a transparent finish.) thrown in
Waldo
You're better off getting a second hand sterling. Besides, they've stopped making the SUB range anyway.
dub_junkie
thats quite a rare bird the SUB Sterling. very nice too but for that kind of money I'd get the full blown Sterling. You'll thank yourself for doing so,believe me DJ
