I saw this question asked on the Vintage Guitar and Bass forum and I thought it was an interesting one but it got very little response.
I figured you chaps would be more responsive.

If you could ask one question to any bass player, past or present, alive or dead, what would it be?

I would love to be able to ask Allen Woody about the setup he used on the Epiphone sig series bass prototype and weather he felt the mass produced instrument was close enough to the vision he had for it.

I quite like the question on the Bass Player mag's 'Introduce Yourself' section, "what was your lightbulb moment?". I think it'd be a good one for pretty much every player.

A clayhead born and bread.

My old man grew up just up the road from the Black Horse.

Nice to meet a fellow Stokey (I presume going off of the photo).

Jaco: mate - any chance you could just play the root note please?

Any Jamiroquai bass player: are you covered for loss of employment at short notice?

Macca: why on earth do you still play that sideways fiddle with flatwounds?

I'd ask Mark King a question...

"What on earth made you think you could make that last Level 42 album in your home studio, it sounded awful and compressed to buggery" ?
