elros Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 We were in the studio just after Easter holiday, and here are some sound clips from the finished CD. Not very much - four clips about a minute long each. (the last clip is from a track by the Arc Singers from New Orleans) I used my Benavente fretless 6 and Surine fretted 6 through the Roland V-Bass for all tracks. Worked great. Quote
slaphappygarry Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Bass sounds great. that was no where near what i expected though Worth a listen to anyone who reads this G Quote
elros Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks! I wish I had written down what bass models I used for the various tracks. It's not always easy to hear - on some tunes the bass is a bit buried in the mix (mostly on the softer songs). I remember using the upright model on the track "Where I long to be", but it isn't easy to tell by listening to it.... The upright model sounds great though. Perhaps I ought to record some sound clips of the V-Bass alone..... Quote
dr.funk Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Woah! Only had a listen to 'Lift him up' but the bass is very tastey. Like Garry I am surprised at the sound. Nice music too! Quote
