Acoustic/Electric acoustic bass

Hi all,

I've gone and <Shock Horror!!> joined an Oirish diddly folky type group

Mostly cos I love that sort of stuff and also because it's something different to your normal, rock/punk stuff I play in other bands.

What I'd like to do is get myself a nice acoustic bass, preferably electric/acoustic that sounds good both acoustically and through an amp.

I'm not looking to spend a load of cash either, mostly cos I aint got much ;(

I currently play a Jap All Blk Fender Jazz which I love, so would also prefer a jazz style neck (I know, moon on a stick here).

So you guys have never let me down before, recommendations please

I'd probably want something fairly cheap to kick off with in case I hate playing an electric acoustic and get stuck with it,I imagine they might be a bit niche and hard to shift?

Cheers

Gary
