Happy Jack Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EX-PRIMAL-SCREAM-FOD...=item4cebdcc054 Not necessarily everyone's cup of tea (I'm a PG Tips man, can't stand Earl Grey) but still rather nice. Beedster Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I'm an Earl Grey man but I don't like that bass Quote
Clarky Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Yuck! Clearly this eBayer is not Mani under a different guise Quote
beerdragon Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 It could be Robert Young's. He played bass then switched to guitar. Quote
Bassassin Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Snoopy bass. Curse you, Red Baron!! Jon. Quote
nick Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) I think it's Henry Olsen's bass. He played with the Scream from Screamadelica up until Mani joined them on Vanishing Point after their break. Remember seeing him play live with them a fair few times. Always thought he looked pretty cool, in a suit, polo-neck with an old sunburst Precision. Pretty tight player too. That is a horrible monstrosity though, that he's selling. TheButler Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Selling this too: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EX-PRIMAL-SCREAM-MAR...=item4cebd86826 Quote
steverickwood Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I guess I'm in the minority saying 'cool bass'! Aside from the unneccesary amount of strings:) Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I bet the ugly stick snapped when it hit that bass Quote

RhysP Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 It looks like the builder started to carve the body shape then just lost interest & gave up. Quote
ped Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 For a single-cut I think the shaps is quite nice (much better than those with a massive bump where the top horn should be) but the control area looks a bit messy with the mixture of control knob types and the jack plate Quote
Dread Bass Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 i like it. But i am a biy odd. Wouldnt pay that much for it tho you could get 2 and a half 6 sting acgs for that. Quote
SS73 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I think the guy who designed that may have had elephantitis. Quote

I'd like to see a bass that does then It's a Fodera, it looks like a Fodera! If you like Fodera's you'll probably like this If not....... Quote
Tait Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 its not exactly a nice looking bass, but i've seen a hell of a lot worse. Quote

Not really a fan of single cuts anyway to be honest (or Foderas, only having played 2) Quote
ped Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Actually having looked again the Fodera is more extreme than I remember, but there is one manufacturer who make one with a MAHOOOSIVE bump, can't remember who now though Quote
ped Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Ah, the Skjold Offset Whaleback Although each to their own etc... TBH I could probably come around to the idea if it plays really nicely, which I bet they do! ped Quote
beardybass Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I lke it, big fan of singlecuts, I even like that big whaley fella you posted up Ped! Quote
