beerdragon Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Looks like a wacky design competition. http://www.ansirmusic.com/our-instruments.html Quote
BigRedX Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Some interesting design ideas there. I would have thought that Spoombung would be interested in these. From my PoV though although the cutaway seems to allow good upper fingerboard access they don't appear to have enough frets or a subtle enough heal/joint to make good use of it. Flawed. Quote

rapscallion Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I can't see much of a market for body designs influenced by the regurgitation of a Friday night binge ...personally Quote
Veils Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. Quote
Tinman Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 They may sound like the best thing ever but no, I could never wear one of those things. Hideous IMO. Quote
arsenic Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I love the fact that they have a Rock & Roll model - Just because it's black......and yes some seriously fugly designs there As has been pointed out - who, in their right mind, would pay over 2 grand to wear some thing that looks like last nights kebab. Tinman Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 From the site "Please understand our instrument bodies are complexly hand crafted with the finest exotic tone woods." Wow, really??????? Quote
Sibob Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 It does make me wonder who they think they're marketing their instruments to. Its tough enough for 'boutique wood' type luthiers to survive when the inevitable cycle of 'Fender clone' love comes around, let alone bizarre makes like this trying to make a living. Very odd Si Quote
