bobpalt Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) SANDBERG BASIC I'm trying to have another go at reducing the number of basses I own, so as I have just agreed to buy another bass as well, I have to sell some others, including my Sandberg. The Sandberg Basic is in really good condition, and comes with a hardcase. Its finished in greenburst, and has no signs of anything other than gentle playing. It has a very "hi fi" sound for the want of another word, and has been set up with a low action, making it very easy to play. The build quality is excellent, and its loud! Price reduced finally to £425. NOW SOLD............................. Cheers, Bob [attachmen t=35833:prs_030.jpg] Edited December 22, 2009 by bobpalt
spacecowboy Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 That Sandberg looks like it would sound L O U D !
Rayman Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Stunning Shuker Bob, wish I had the cash for that. Villex are superb pickups.
niceguyhomer Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I've played this Jazz and it's the poodle's plums. Bob's a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with so buy with confidence. Someone's going to get a bargain.

The nicest guy you could meet, and far too many basses! Jules
MoonBassAlpha Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 BTW Bob, what do all the controls do on the jazz? Cheers Jules
bobpalt Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009
BTW Bob, what do all the controls do on the jazz? Cheers Jules
You guys are just too kind. I'm starting to blush................... Hi Jules. There is a volume, blend, treble then the mid thingy control. To quote from their website: All Villex pickups come with a built in mid-tone circuit and an external pot which allows to gradually change the sound character from vintage to slap. It's like having several pickups instead of one! I believe the pickups are linear humbuckers, rather than single coils, but havent taken them to pieces yet to check! I do have someone who has provisionally bought the Shuker, subject to payment of course. The Sandberg is a great bass as well, but in a more "in your face" kind of way. All the best to Russ, Alan and Jules. Bob
bigthumb Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 You have far too many nice basses Bob. Love the green Sandberg!
warwickhunt Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 That Shuker looks lush! Unfortunately like thou I have too many basses and would need to shift one first.
bobpalt Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 The Shuker is sold, subject to recieving payment, but the Sandberg is still available! Cheers, Bob
bobpalt Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Price reduction for the Sandberg to: £445.
bobpalt Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 I have removed details of the Shuker from this ad, as this has been sold. Bob
Guest Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 If someone purchases my SG I may be interested!
bobpalt Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 Absolutely the last price reduction, to £425, before ebay. Plenty of interest, no takers unfortunately. Bb

It is a low action, yes. I set up my own basses, and its pretty low. Cheers, Bob
kurcatovium Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 What is the neck profile and feel? More like JB, PB, MM, pickaxe?
BassBunny Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009
What is the neck profile and feel? More like JB, PB, MM, pickaxe?
I've got the 5 String version and the neck is as slim as a slim thing on slim day. It's in the jazz Bass sector but much much nicer.
bobpalt Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Still no takers, so it will be going under the bed until things get better.
deaver Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009
No interest? Bob?
I'd love it but I've got to sell first, same old story...
cLepto-bass Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I am interested in this and have been for a while but I have no need for a hardcase. Price drop for no case??
