simon1964
I need some advice on the value of a 1964 Precision (to be clear, I'm potentially buying, not selling!). What do you Fender experts reckon is the vaule of a pre-CBS 1964 Precision, original pots, original tort scratchplate, pickups and ashtrays but with the body stripped to natural. Although stripped, it seems to have been done a while ago, and looks tidy enough. There's a lot of wear on the back of the neck, which I take as a good sign as someone has been playing it over the last 45 years! Any advice gratefully received! lozbass
There are many on here with greater knowledge than myself, but if it's a good one, I'd say around £2800-3250 (edited for syntax) Edited November 11, 2009 by lozbass
The Bass Doc
I agree around £3,000 if it's a private sale but it's difficult to be accurate without the thing in front of me 'cos I'd be looking for other pointers like original frets and to check all parts (including screws!) for authenticity before going to 'top dollar'. simon1964
Thanks both! I realise you can only give a ball park figure without seeing it, but around £3,000 was what I had in mind. Good to get some confirmation.
