I go every year, have done since the first one - it's become like a bloody ritual now!

I always take a few quid, hoping for a mega bargain, & always come home with just a carrier bag (usually a big black Marshall one!) full of leaflets & freebie tat.

Doubt this year will be any different - but I'll go anyway.

Jon.

The last show I went to was basically two hours on the road for little more than overly-loud software demonstrations and a huge bunch of spotty teenagers trying desperately to out-widdle each other. And the ones on the guitars were even worse. :) There was almost nothing of interest bass-wise, the sole exception being the good Doctor with his E-Basses. Apart from that it was a low-end desert. I wouldn't have minded picking up a bargain, but all I left with was the prospect of a two hour journey home. So I won't be going to this one.

I agree..... I resent paying to look around what basically is an overly busy music shop stocking nothing of particular interest.... and having my ears assaulted by the white-noise that is a hundred bedroom guitarists widdling pointlessly.....

I'll be there on Sunday ..

I know Mark (Poptart) from BassDirect is going and taking some exotica from his ranges including a Roscoe or two and a pair of Wood & Tronics.

Might need a Marshall bag full of fifties for those though ...

Thanks for the plug - yep Bass Direct will be having a stand at Music Live. All basschatters are welcome. We will have some cool gear on display and to play including the Bergantino speaker range, the PJB combos and some basses from Roscoe, Nordstrand and Wood & Tronics.

We may have some deals too - oh and you get a free jelly baby :)

Mark
