Bassman101
Hey, im sorry if this is really simple and kinda nooby, but i need help getting my head around something Baisically, i want to get a Laney RB9 from someone on here selling it, and i have been offered a pretty well priced Ampeg b series 4x10 cab by a friend. So, From the laney website, ive got this information... 300 watts into a 4 ohm load http://www.laney.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod=rb9 And from the Ampeg site ive gotten... 200 Watts 8 ohms http://www.ampeg.com/products/b/b410he/index.html Ive been told that in some cases having random cabs and random heads can give you problems, this is my first Non-Combo "Rig" and i havent made the choices for like sound or anything, i just played an RB9 through a 4x10 Cab and loved it, and have heard the Cab im getting being played by the friend. I just want to make sure i wont get some huge ball of fire in my room! From what i understand, its not going to give me problems, just less volume than i could get. Please help. Cheers. stevie
In theory, that's a good match. You will also be able to connect a second 8-ohm cab and get more power should you wish to do so.
