andyonbass
New aquisition leaves this fab bass surplus to my requirements, so I am able to offer this to fellow Basschatters at the bargain price of £225 + shipping. For the price, you really cant get better specs, check out the monorail bridge, 18v electrics 3 band eq with semi parametric mid control, locking neutric jack, 5 piece maple/walnut neck, lovely quilted maple top under a transparent black finish, 19mm string spacing at the bridge, 35 in scale allowing a nice taut B string, with better articulation than many basses that are 3 times the price. This bass has no dings or buckle rash, a perfectly straight neck and comes with a new set of DR Bootzilla coated strings, straplocks and a gigbag that has seen a bit of action! The only less than perfect aspect is the satin hardware, which has gone a bit dull, a common occurence on these. It really is a joy to play, not too heavy, well balanced and has a great range of tones available. This would make a great transition from a four string, back up or gigging bass. Grab yourself a bargain! charic
May be interested, if this was the red finish it wud be mine Havnt managed to find one to try yet tho, so could be risky. Suitable for pick n metal style music? Hows it cope with tapping (some basses ive found are damn useless for tapping)
shaundixon666
Well I can say that this bass is definitely capable of playing metal. I play mostly metal/hard rock on this bass and because of the activeness of this bass you can dial up any tone for the type of music your playing. This is definitely a nice 5'er for metal, you will love the sound of the B string
charic
Most BTB's B strings have let themselves down for me so far, but then again its a crap shop
andyonbass
I have never had any problems with the 'B' on one of these, the 35" scale gives decent tension, but I have to say, the Bootzilla strings articulate a bit better than the original elixirs, IMO. Couldn't tell you how it does for tapping, as its not a technique I've given any time to, but you can get the action pretty low if thats what you need

Hutton
Come on folks. This is a great buy. I just sold one of these locally for £250. I wasn't playing 5-string and the bass was surplus to requirements. This is a great sounding and playing bass and at £200 and in this condition it has to tempt somebody.
