What's the diff between this and a '51 P? .... apart from the decal and a few more holes in the p/g







Come to think of it, some of my guitars have "been in a video or two" too.... none that have been on the telly like.

Tthe ferrules on the back of the P are flush and glued in - they're just dropped in on the Tele and held in by the ball end of the string. Apart from that, not much..

I s'pose it's because the 'Standard' P was still available at the time, and they didn't want to confuse people too much.

I'm wary in cases where there's information that could help a sale that's not forthcoming. If I had John Deacon's bass from the Bohemian Rhapsody vid you'd be sure I'd have it plastered all over the for sale ad.
