Dr Zoidberg Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) Hi, New here, and new to playing bass. Unfortunately funds are tight so I can’t really afford regular lessons. Can anyone recommend a good instructional book/dvd. There’s lots of them about but I’d like to save time and money by going for a good one. I've played guitar when I was younger so I may not be at the ABSOLUTE beginner level. I’m mainly interested in playing funk/hip hop style bass. I make hip hop beats as a hobby and would like to be able to lay down my own basslines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Edited November 12, 2009 by Dr Zoidberg Quote
sdgrsr400 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Hal Leonard Bass Method by Ed Friedland (Complete Edition) is pretty good. Quote
