AndyTravis
Hello Folks... After Selling the Bongo and The Casady, i've decided another P-Bass is the key. After a bit of an online Search, i found what i was after. The Plan is, to whip the Shell guard off, and put that onto my Jap Squier (3 Color Sunburst, 1983) and get a parchment pickguard for this beauty. I found the look i'm after on a chat section of another bass webiste. This is to match my recently aquired Jazz in LPB! Mega, will keep you updated on my progress with IshiBashi Trav

OutToPlayJazz
Very very nice, Andy. Just out of curiosity, what made you go Japanese?
AndyTravis
it's just what i fancied, i have a mexi 50's P (see avatar) and i use a jap squier P too. As well as a Marcus Miller. If i'd have found a USA Vintage reissue in lpb, i'd probbly have jumped at it, but at under £500 shipped, and over estimated tax (just in case) i think it's a pretty decent bass. And, if i want to mod the bass, i'm not trashing it's resale as with a USA Vintage.
AndyTravis
i'm after the covers and a white p.g. If anyone has them spare from a reissue? I'm going to run an order into fender...on Monday. Now answer me this. White, Parchment or mint green for the p.g?

OutToPlayJazz
I'd leave the scratch guard as it is, Andy. It looks really nice and very individual.

waynepunkdude
Go with white, the tortie makes a beautiful bass look like something from your nan's wardrobe.

OldGit
Much as I lourve Tortie I don't like it on LPB .. Parchment gets my vote, specially with covers ..
