Kev
thats cool, so why you choose these?
alexclaber
My '87 Warwick which has been my main bass since '99 has EMG pickups which are loud, clear, free of hum or noise, and responsive to technique. The Q-Tuners claim to achieve even more transparency with strong output without any active components, which should reduce noise further and increase dynamic range. They are also very tweakable for string to string balance etc. And they look rather groovy... Alex
Kiwi
Gotta get the blue LED's behind the transparent pickup casings! I've tried a set in Alemboid's Status Series 1 6 string and they were indeed clear and hifi (nearby noise sources notwithstanding). However I thought tweaking pole pieces offered a disappointingly limited variation in tonal response. Technically they do exactly what the maker claims, just not as well as I would have hoped. In the end I decided to go for a set of Delano soapbars instead, they were warmer and sweeter sounding to my ears.
warwickhunt
Andy at 'Wizard' will wind you neo pups if you require... though I doubt they'd look as funky!
